Brooklyn Home Companion, a blog kept by Cobras Biz & Katie, was mentioned in the New York Times! Sadly, not for our heroines’ wit and valor, but for the somewhat less distinguished habit of having an uncanny ability to predict trends. [Clearly, this is either Biz or Katie writing this. But I won’t say which one.]

Never ones to shy away from bold sartorial statements, the Cobras have been rocking overalls since at least January, kids (with varying degrees of sexiness/horror). Exhibit A:

The lovely Brooklyn musical duo Bow Ribbons – who will be venturing into the Cobra Den for a hootenanny soon, date TBD, p.s.! (they said yes) – is playing at Shea Stadium (no, not the actual stadium; it’s an all-ages music venue at 20 Meadow Street in East Williamsburg/Bushwick) tonight, opening up for High Places. If I didn’t have a thousand middle-aged Ohio ladies (i.e., my family) staying at my house tonight, I’d be there. So go, and let me live vicariously through you!
